Corruption matters,dream shatters
with the conjugated and concocted acts of big power houses and politicions. We are very much conscious and distressed to find our country on much top in world order in this respect. Sadly peoples who are voted to power, are not probably not much concerned about it, otherwise why there would be no rapid and exemplary punishment for the culprits! It is not denied Govt. provides much budgetary allocation for welfare measures for the upliftment of the peoples living below poverty line. But the effect of its spending
do not reach the expected level at any time. The result, it runs as an unending programme with repeated allotment for these purpose. Why Govt. or the responsiblle deptt. causes an impartial enquirry to find the truth! The fact is, almost entire chain of implementation in someway or either responsible for this. The coordinated power is the biggest hurdle in the way of the govt. So the fullproof bpl list can not be prepared till day or the subsidised housing plan does not reach the real needy
in many cases. In all these cases loyalty to a particular party or other matters, the
reality and necessity ignored. These deprived poors are being misled and utilised
to increse the influence and power base by some revolutionary party and some states viz. west bengal, Bihar, Jharkand etc are a prey to endless disturbances. What peoples see in the village? They see their own people involved in party politics gradually turning into moneyed man, their mud houses turning into pucca(concrete)house, they are riding motor cycle when their original source of income has not changed at all. The only difference between them is an active participation in party politics. Hence jealousy, rivalry etc. are polluting congenial atmosphere in the villages.A good impartial governance of the govt. is the need of the day and Govt. should come forward with firm hand to establish this. Wrong doers must be booked and punished with rapid court. We must not forget that every hungry stomach is a potential
human bomd. The scam stars and their scam ship must be destroyed by the govt.
Here is story(fact). the name of this young graduate is Ranabir(name changed). He was a dedicated party man and active participant in all political programmes. He was a good organiser and believed in ideologies of the party and propogated it through masses. Now his real self struggle stared for a job. He tried and tried but found none. The reality now came to him and he approached door to door to his known faces. But nobody could help him excepting some dreamy talks. This boy ultimately took up the profession of a driver with the hope, some day he will have his
own car and his good days will return. Yes, he could purchase a second hand car and after long struggle could place the car in an office on rental basis. Here begins his second realisation. He required to change the title of the car and honestly he submitted his papers. But his case remains unattended for a long period. He attented the respective office for persuation of his case. Now his ideology jarked to hear that
he requires to pay the fee and ....,Then only the case shall be through. The poor boy
again went door to door but got nothing except sympathy. His one time pol.connection
even came to no help. The story ends. Probably he is trying to be realistic in this unwarranted situation as corruption matters, dream shatters.

Kolkata,West Bengal- Seized
The new kolkata is slowly under sieze along vip road, Rajarhat road(the worst hit from joramandir to new town crossing) & upcoming Jyoti basu nagar matching people density along the stretches. Unless political parties, govt. machinaries react right now against such encroachers , someday kolkata wil be a doomed hut of rotten politics. All should pray for kolkatas rejuvination as it is our own place, our own country of hope, dream & its fulfilment.

West Bengal- a turning desert for industry
All politics of land acquisitions are concerned with evicted peoples and all political parties want them as their vote bank capitalising their grivances, be whatever it may. None seems to come out with pacifying offerings to fulfil both the purposes. The entire demonstrations, movements done on schrewd politics of gaining mileage in politics. It is fact, in West Bengal things are a bit difficult because here in case of a mass acquisition, the nos of owners are so high, may be one or each have three or four kottahs of right in land within such acquisition. Therefore it is not practly possible to satisfy all while Govt. goes for such acquisition. Here begins the politics, a politics of retardation of progress, prosperity. The ideal case of such example is singur where a virtually ready to production factory had to leave West Bengal. What did the peoples of this state got ! Nothing, but an indecent picture of political arrogance, fist twisting amongst political parties & their calculation of political advantage. What a luck for West Bengal & its peoples. What politics of progress & prosperity should be, showed by Gujrat, another state of west bengal. What Gujrat can do, we can not do. Why ? Because there progress & prosperity matters, but here politics matter, progress & prosperity on litters.
Leaving aside all in between stories, come to sankrail, a place in Howrah, where a railway coach factory schewled to come up, has been stopped on very surprising grounds
by again on political agitation. The land was acquired long back by the state Govt, & was handed over to railway authirities for their purpose. The railway authorities went for construction there. Since a long time has passed between acquisitin & constructions, some peoples have unauthorisedly encroached in the land and living there, who now wants compensation, service, alternative arrangements for them before being evicted. It is equally surprising they have their patronage from political party and they are directly supporting them. The surprising tragedy is that those who are punishable for unauthorised encroachments of Govt. land, are being supported for illegal demands just to pay back in reverse coin of political advantage of their against. Again politics matters, progress & prosperity on litters.
In West Bengal almost all Govt. lands, footh paths, road flanks, canal sides etc, etc are under unauthorised occupation with the patronage of all political parties areawise on their strength &power. Most of these peoples are chance seekers, migrated poors, who become political partie's commited voters , meeting crowders of the parties in liew of their supports. These peoples never pay taxes in any forms, but doing business on land, footpath completly free with a vibrant attitude. They contribute nothing for the state, but sucks the tax payers money in the unforeseen, unforgetable political scnerio of West Bengal. Sometimes it is felt, West Bengal is turning to be the Dustbin of Indian union. Thanks to West Bengal politics & its parties.
Political friends, have you really have anything to give for this poor state any more ! Industry houses have tasted the real taste of India and West Bengal is a far behind scene to them.

Political movement-- now & then
India started its movement against british rule for independence & the main role was played by Gandhiji. Gandhiji believed in nonviolance and his followers also adopted the same way for movements against the british rule for independence of India. The entire mode of the movements were nonviolence & noncooperation to achieve the cause. The entire movement was so idealised that subsequently other countries in the world and their leaders, when necessiated, followed the same form of movement to achieve their purpose. The atrocities on peaceful movements, sometimes by the british rulers, gave rise to discontent amongst some of the staunch followers of this movement and some form of violent movements cropped up here & there. But the entire movement was motivated with selfless desire to free their mother land. These leaders & their followers never thought of communal disharmony, caste etc but only thought of peace, harmony, prosperty, equal rights for all in this country. Many leaders laid theirs lives for this cause & we respect them as matryers. So was the movement & commitment of the leaders & political parties at that time. There after longtime has passed, india freed & our own people took governance of the country & the responsibility of its future prosperity. But still after sixtithree years of independence , poverty, health, education, two square meals are the biggest concern of the country. The development so far achieved are not well spreaded. As a result problems of unemployment, gurantee for food, health care, education etc vary from state to state. Migration from one state to another for survival causing peoples density problem for better developing states. Capitialising all such problems, numerous regional parties formed in state to state to fight these problems. In democracy it is a continious process and there should be any question regarding this. But the mismatch interests, ideology & the path to development amongst national & regional parties are so different, that a harmonic development atmosphere can not be achived. Scruplous politics taking advantage of this situation with terrorism, arsons, killing innocents in the name of political rivalary , fuming adivasis, poors and utilising them in the name of political movements. Politics of negative value for the cause of the self, power and party are todays political movements. We have failed to carry out the legacy, moral
ity of our forefathers what they taught us with their lives & movements. Now political movement means strike, cease to work, road block, rail block, destroying govt. properties, killing innocents in the name of political rivalry, terrorism etc, etc. When we need to grow, we are victims of back track politics and its movements.
Cant we thing of a better india with value based politics and political movements!

India begins at Bihar
minority terms , which has so far paid nothing to Bihar and its peoples. The results
of the vote indicates that Indian peoples are maturing and the caste, minority politics will not be accepted by them. Gujrat showed the way and now Bihar has come forward. The days of shrewed politicions, who used to bank on caste, minority vote bank politics and not on development of the state, are over. The problem of this country, is hunger, unemployment, poor medical facilities and poor infrastructure etc. If all these are sincerely attended, the
cheap politics of caste, quota, minority will be vanished. Hats off to the peoples of Bihar, they have succeeded to corner those politicions .
The main problems of indian peoples are illiteracy, hunger, shelter, health and an unbalanced
growth of wealth which has divided India within India , and most of the politics are essencially exploitayion this situation and the these poor mass. In swami vivakanandas wors,
the downtroden, the oppressed of Bihar has risen and understood the goods and evil, and set an example for us, the people of India.
Let us rise and pick the way of development and the peoples who think of the same. Bihar shows the way.

Politics- desected
What is politics ! It is the ethical rules and principles on which a country / state is governed. I can remember, when Gujrat was extremely disturbed, the then PM of
With the passage of time and devoid of genuine patriotric politicians, the politics are becoming an organisation of power crazy peoples who want to grab power either in state or in center for more than their own purpose rather than national purpose, that what it should be.
I apprehend the present day politicians will disagree with me and in the event of any scope, they may try to malign me. I am not a reputed man and i am not a political player also, hence I believe, as a general public i have every freedom to express my view. Why do i say like this ! I am a resident of west bengal and i am seeing west bengal politics from my young age to date ie. for about forty years. I have seen one CM in a coalition Govt.to be hackled in the floor of the assembly by the people of the same govt. The hackled cm was a dedicated gandhian politician. He could not probably sense the ugly nature of politics as his dedication never taught him ,that politics can be so ugly. Thereafter we saw bloody politics in west bengal in the name of naxal. I remember distinctly, our guardians were so frightened that they would not allow us to stay out of home for any extra time beyond our routine schedule and allowed us to go beyond our own known locality. That was a theory based politics and due to this lots of young promising lives lost. Had that been a real indigeonous political agenda on the ground level experiance, such precious lives would not had been lost Thereafter we saw politics of destruction ie. destruction of govt. properties in the name of movement. A poor country like us who creates wealth on extreme hardship on state exchequer, saw how easily politicians destroy it with Goyabolian propoganda. I know my understanding of the facts at that age may not match the then political movements , but i understand one thing, when something is achieved after extreme hardship that should be protected and for further something a constructive movement should be generated. But did we saw anything like that here in west bengal ! Thereafter we saw indiscriminate killing of peoples in the name of class enemy. We never thought all people can not be same and someone who by dint of his merit, hardwork achieved more than others, have done it by their efforts , dedication, hard work etc. They can never be a class enemy and target. If they exploit the society for their only gain, then only that should be fought on logical and rightful manner. But it went on otherwise in the name of class struggle causing extensive irrepairable damage to this state. This state saw industries were being closed down, capitals were flown out of this state and all progressive developmental works stopped.
Again for the last two / three years , we find only negative politics in our state. If one party proposes something, the opponent opposes it with all power. Who are the sufferers ! The present day generations. We failed miserably to control population. we need employment for the young educated generations. But without caring for it. we find an impasse between rival political parties. Is it for the good of the people of this state! It is so sad to see even the educated politically consscious peoples are also ignoring the present day need and helping the state to dry up for reasons they know better. Education makes people refined and they should come up above politics when the greater interest of the state is concerned with a broader mind and commitment to the society. We are afraid about the future of our children. All should come forward and think unitedly for this poor state and its peoples.

Corruption .. a TV Ad
My friend was an engineer and served in different capacities within a state of India. In course of his service life, my friend was once engaged in the construction work of a big hydraulic structure, which involved so many complicated problems during construction. It is ovious and routine in a construction job but definitely possible to be tackled within the means and clauses of tender. My friend , as a young devoted engineer, tackled all problems without any extra expenditures and successfully completed the structure. This fuelled anger with the construction co. and some of big bosses. Since the construction was in running water, there was ample scope of fabrication of inputs and outputs, which the construction co. and some of the officers desired. Pressure was mounted on him including offer of handsome dividents which he refused. He stated he was young, and morally obligated to the society, and his country and hence could not work the way they desired. As a result he was transferred in a very remote place. He thought, this was the price he paid for his incompetency to be a part of the ring.
The second incident was while he was a pretty senior officer. Some top officials wanted him to settle a chronic problem in a very troublesome place. It was a very big job . The preparatory works to start the job ran smoothly. The problem started three or four days before tender issue date. So many phone calls desireing personnel meeting came to him. He politely avoided. He said, he had a very good young team with him. He compleated the issuance of tender papers strictly as rules and clauses of tender. There was a chase amongst companies to please or satisfy some or other including my friend so that formation of any evil ring is ignored by him with the behest of some or others. He avoided everything and did not bent on any pressure. Two days before dropping of tender, he was manhandled in his chamber and ultimately had to be admitted in hospital. He paid the price of not being a part of the evil racket. Thereafter, he went on leave and spent about five months in utter distress. He said, one of the officer (not engr.) threatened him to obey and follow the normal but unwritten rules , so that works do not get disturbed. He could not follow his instructions and hence marked as a rebel officer and subsequently condemned as a nonfunctionary. My friend said, majority respected officers, supported and stood by his side. He never understood, how a handful of minority dishonest peoples were so powerful and wherefrom they got this strength !
It is only two incidents , as he stated out of so many he faced in his life. The Ad. says, we give and so they are tempted to be dishonest. I absolutely agree with this observations. But the receiptant end, if not mentally strong enough and can avoid the lust of some extra benefits, corruption can notbe stopped.
This is probably the main disease in Inda. This main disease of the society can be stopped with selfconsciousness of each and every individual as well as society as a whole.

Two stories of begging.
In course of my such time passing, i could find other five aged men who are also habitual comer here for the same purpose. I became friendly with them slowly and thereafter station, hawkers, beggers were our time pass including gossiping. I used to notice a very particular widowed old woman begging, sitting in the subway everyday. Her face, her attitude and her dress seemed to me very different from other beggers. I felt curious day by day. She never asked for any money from anybody, but daily commuters used to give her money and even used to ask her about her health and other problems. This is very much exception than normal. In spite of her begging, she was always dignified by her attitudes. One day i asked my new friends whether they can say anything about her. One of the gentleman told, this lady has two sons who are employed and live in their parental house here. Everything was fine with her. But soon after marriages of her sons, she was driven out and now she spends life begging and sleeping in makeshift slum in the station premises. The climax of this story is, her two sons everyday gives their mother some money while going to office and take her news too, but they never take her back to home for reasons, may be assesed. I was very painful and thought how God made her alone inspiteof having and depriving everything she ought to had get in this world. We are born alone, we live alone, we die alone . The love, bondage between mother & son and even friends are nothing but a illusion in this world.
Now another gentleman narrated his experience which he saw in his early days of life. He was about thirty years at that time. He was posted in a office at moulali in kolkata at that time. He stated , everyday in his tiffin hour, he used to come down to foothpath for tiffin. He noticed that one man , everyday, drunken, quarreling with one woman and at least six children loooking at him. This scene was very irritating for peoples like us and also the shop owner. Oneday he asked the shopowner-what is the story! The shopowner said, this man is a rickshaw puller, residing in this foothpath slum with his wife and six children. The wife works in six houses as domestic help . These six children of them begging in the streets. This man is a habitual drunkard and do not give any money to the family. Rather want money from wife which his children bring on begging. I surprisingly told the shopowner, how a man like this can have so many children and what is the logic! The shopowner smiled and said, if one child bring ten rupees, then six children would bring sixty rupees. This is a fair income compared to their expenditures. Hence they become happy as many children as they can have for this reason. I could not say anything and left with a nightmare about the class, quality and volume of population of India in near future.
This is not the end. Another friend narrated something which is very classical example of business through begging. This gentleman used to work in slum development cell of the Govt. department. He said in course of his service, he found two beggers who used to reside in a slum with extreme amenities which was posssible to arrangeable there. Their income were very handsome and they claimed themselves non needy and happy through their business. He asked them- why they live here ! They replied, the money they earn through begging , is lended in interest within these slum dwellers and they get very hand some return out of it. They can not leave this place for their business. They are happy. They even stated, what was not possible in service after achieving a goood education, they are earning it through begging and subsequently doing business with this money, also helping these slum dwellers and of course. they are profitting out of it. My friend said, that day i could see another world of business and style of exploitation for the poor by the poor and decided not to entertain any begging.
I still go to platform and spend time with the hope to see and discover my India at this best place.
